HAPPY FLOWERS

The HAPPY FLOWERS have profound roots. When I was a small child and had just emigrated with my family from Chile, I couldn't speak English fluently for several months. While I did my best to pay attention in school, I found daydreaming a comforting escape as I adjusted to my new surroundings.

I often filled the margins of my school notebooks with fields of doodly flowers. Many years later, I thought again about those challenging times, and by reinventing the motif with freshwater pearls, I embraced my past and transformed those playful doodles into endearing jewelry with a nod to childhood daydreams made real.
